Introducing Sofia Carlsson - our new Head of S&YP!

Welcome Sofia!

We are thrilled to announce that Sofia Carlsson has taken over as the new Head of our Student & Young Professional Network! It’s an honor to have her on board and we are confident that she'll bring great value to our community. We asked Sofia to introduce herself, read her story down below!

Hi everyone!

I am so unbelievably excited to be the new Head of S&YP for SACC-NE. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of you at recent events, and hope to meet more of you in the future! Stay tuned, more events to come!

My name is Sofia Carlsson and I currently work at Harvard Business School as a Development Assistant. Not only do I get to support 3 amazing women who fundraising for the school, but I also have the privilege of meeting incredible alumni. My love for education was truly the driving factor to apply. I recently moved to Boston and love hanging out with my friends, playing lots of tennis, and completing my Master’s degree in my free time. I grew up in Westport, CT yet moved to Alingsas, Sweden when I was 10 years old. After attending high school in Gothenburg, I decided to return to the U.S. to pursue my bachelor’s degree. I attended Skidmore College and was a double major in Management & Business and Spanish. Additionally, I played tennis on their varsity team for all 4 years. After graduation in 2022, I chose to stay in the U.S. and Boston called!

Thank you, Sofia!

We also want to take a moment to express our gratitude to Can Doganci, our Vice President who has decided to step down from his role as Head of our Student & Young Professional Network. Can has made a significant contribution to the growth and success of the S&YP network, and we're thankful to still have you onboard as our Vice President!
