/Main thing that drawed you to SACC-NE?
When I realized that I would have a free semester between my Business and Economics bachelor's and my future Master's degree, my attention was immediately drawn toward what lay beyond the bubble in Uppsala and Stockholm. Here, the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce in general, and the New England Chamber in particular, were presented as a most exciting endeavor. If presented with the opportunity, who could turn down the vibrant student life, booming and competent business community, and overall buzz that a city like Boston offers? I certainly couldn't, and that's why I sit here today looking out over MIT, Charles River, and downtown Boston daily.
Your best Boston tip?
My best Boston tip is a three-stage rocket evening of sorts. First, you eat an everything-bagel, cream cheese-y lunch at Mamaleh’s in Cambridge. Second, you watch either the Celtics at TD Garden (if you’re inclined to splurge some money), or the Harvard Crimson’s Basketball team at Lavietes Pavilion. Third, and finally, you finish the evening at a local student bar, such as Grendel’s or Tasty Burger.
Your best hometown tip?
If you’re ever in Uppsala, I’d recommend simply going to one of the city’s thirteen different student nations. A post-exam burger at Bakfickan of Stockholm Nation, or a pancake brunch at Snerikes can never go wrong. If none of these are of interest, you could always go to the unofficial fourteenth nation - Palermo's - and try your luck there.
