Introducing our next talent and addition to the SACC-NE operational team: Thea Wadell

Thea is currently pursuing a BSc in Business and Economics at Lund University. She has been engaged in the student union, where she organized events and has taken on marketing initiatives. Besides that, Thea has created an innovation podcast when working at the incubator VentureLab, that promotes start-up and innovation for students. Through these various experiences in event and marketing, she hopes to bring new ideas and concepts to the chamber.

What made you want to join SACC-NE?

When working with start-ups my interest in innovation, exploring new ideas and entrepreneurship grew. This makes SACC-NE the perfect place to enrich my experiences and expand my network by interacting with different businesses and talented people. In addition, learning about the US market and the relationship to Sweden, as well as broadening my international perspective makes this an incredible opportunity.

How will you contribute to the team?

I wish to develop and grow with the SACC-NE community this fall as well as contribute with my experiences within marketing and event. My BSc in Business and Economics has provided me with tools to be used in both a strategic and tactical perspective of organizations, and I wish to use these tools and further explore new creative concepts and ideas.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

I see myself studying a master’s degree where I will gain more knowledge in both the managerial and creative aspect of business. Furthermore, I hope to pursue a career in an international organization that inspires me and, in my work, focus on innovation, sustainability and communication.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

I have a great passion for soccer and have played since I was six years old. Besides that, I like to participate in different activities, travel and meet new people. I look forward to exploring Boston and the different sports activities.
