Introducing our Vice President: Can Doganci
/We are happy to introduce the SACC-NE Vice President, Can Doganci. He joined the chamber in August 2020, and some of you might recognize him from SACC-NE Students & Young Professional Network. He is originally from northeastern Turkey but now lives in the Burlington area of Vermont.
Can has more than 10 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry. He is currently a Business Development Executive at Pri-Med, bringing medical technology and pharmaceutical products to US primary care providers to help improve patient outcomes. Additionally, Can has a project management background within the fields of IT and Data Science, and volunteering at Agile Product Open, hosting events to help connect product management professionals. Through his diverse experiences, Can is excited to form new partnerships and increase the business connections between Sweden and New England.
What made you want to join SACC-NE?
Hosting immersion meet-up events in Boston for 2 years pre-pandemic as the Global Ambassador for Duolingo, which is a language learning app my sister introduced me to, I stumbled upon SACC-NE. Learning the language broadened my view and learn the Swedish culture, which helped me understand why Sweden is a top innovative country in the world. As I enjoyed being part of the SACC-NE community, I’m excited to contribute, share my knowledge and learn more about the Sweden business landscape and its relationship to the US.
How will you contribute to the team?
I look forward to continue working actively with the Student & Young Professional network and be the link to support the SACC-NE team to help create new concepts and strategic partnerships utilizing my organizational and social skills.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
I’d hope to become someone with deep expertise in international business, and I know that’s something that I’ll have an opportunity to strive towards through SACC-NE. With this new opportunity, I look forward to taking on more responsibilities. I’ve been lucky enough to meet and work with some amazing individuals; so, developing into an expert myself is something I hope to achieve.
What do you like to do when you are not working?
My passion is to travel; exploring new places and meeting new individuals. To me, it is the best way to understand and learn about different cultures. I also enjoy various outdoor activities and I appreciate a Sunday packed with watching soccer and football once in a while.
