Introducing another new talent and addition to the SACC-NE Operational Team: Hillevi Pihl

Introducing Hillevi, our new Marketing & Community Associate.

We are pleased to welcome our new intern Hillevi Pihl to the SACC-NE team! She joins us from Växjö with a background in administration and event planning. Hillevi is in her final semester at Linnaeus University where she will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. On the side of her studies and various engagement in student associations at Linnaeus University, she had been a board member of a student pub as both purchasing manager and service manager.

What made you want to join SACC-NE?

I have always had an interest in experiencing new cultures. I was an exchange student in Michigan in high school and felt like I was not yet finished with the United States. With an interest in international trade and foreign affairs, SACC-NE seemed like an obvious choice for my internship. I am looking forward to using my academic skills in administration and communication in a practical sense and improve my networking skills in an inspiring location like the Boston area!

How will you contribute to the team?

I am eager to put my theoretical knowledge into practice and inspire others with my energetic self. I hope to contribute with a fresh set of eyes that can find new and creative ways to expand SACC-NE’s platforms and outreach.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

I want to pursue and career internationally, perhaps in international trade as globalization and foreign affairs is an interest of mine. I tend to live in the moment and take opportunities as they come, so only time will tell what my future career will be. It would be fun to work as a diplomat as I have been told since I was very young that I am just and diplomatic.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

I like to paint, workout and explore new things. I am adventurous and is looking forward to exploring Boston’s culinary and art scene. If you don’t find me at the gym, you will most likely find me at a restaurant in the sun.
